Tenom is a small town in the Interior District of Sabah and it is also an important centre for the Murut community, and this small hilly town is surrounded by longhouses, where young "warriors" still take their blowpipes and hunting dogs out for a 'stroll' in the jungle to catch supper. Tenom boast agricultural products and is a centre for orchards and vegetable cultivation.


Sabah Agricultural Park is the world-famous agricultural park. It is located 15 km from Tenom town and developed by the Sabah State Government for research as well as tourism



Tenom Orchid Farm is located at Lagud Sebrang and the park extends over 1,500 acres, with over 1,000 indigenous orchids. The place has been developed into a highly interesting and educational agro-tourism park well worth a visit.

Kinabalu Park covers a staggering area of 754 sq. km possesses the highest mountain in Malaysia that means it is bigger than Singapore Island. This botanical paradise is blessed with an astonishing variety of flora and fauna that ranges over 4 climate zones, from the rich lowland dipterocarp forests through the montane oak, rhododendron and coniferous forests, to the alpine meadow plants. Gateway to the summit of Borneo is the Kinabalu Park Headquarters, situated on the southern boundary, at an elevation of 1,563m. Most of the park modern facilities are located here, from visitor’s accommodation, restaurants, and exhibit centres, to the park’s offices where overnight visitors and climbers must register. Thousands visit the park every year to walk along the nature trails at park headquarter or climb Mount Kinabalu, which is the magnificent granite massif stands at 4,095.2 m is the highest mountain in Asean.

  • Gaya Street is the main street of Kota Kinabalu, which is the state capital of Sabah. Gaya Street has the largest number of legal offices, banks and financial institutions of any street in Sabah. Every Sunday morning, Gaya Street is closed to traffic for the Gaya Street Fair. Traders set up stalls to sell almost anything, such as fruits, vegetables, fish, cut flowers and plants, toys clothes, books, rabbits, puppies, souvenirs and handicraft, traditional medicine, Tenom coffee and others

Kundasang, home of the luminous Mount Kinabalu lies in Ranau. Ranau was also the terminus of the notorious Sandakan Death March during the World War II. The Kundasang War Memorial serves to commemorate the sacrifices and bravery of the fallen heroes.

Tawau is the administrative center of Tawau Division and the third largest town of Sabah after Kota Kinabalu and Sandakan.
Tawau is located at the south-east coast of Sabah which faces the Celebes Sea to the east and the interior mountain ranges to the west. The geographic coordinates of Tawau are latitude 4.298 degree North and longitude 117.883 degree East.The main town area can be divided into three sections, i.e. Sabindo, Fajar and Tawau Lama or Old Tawau. Federal House, where most government offices such as the Immigration Department and the National Registration Department are located is found in Sabindo area. Fajar is the commercial area, where major banks such as HSBC and Maybank,BSN,Public Bank, are located. The Tawau District Court is also situated here. Tawau Lama is the original part of Tawau, which contains Tawau's central market. Tawau Port is also located in Tawau Lama.
